Design Lead on MLB Virtual Ballpark
Transporting fans into a fully immersive three-dimensional baseball environment, offering a unique opportunity to experience the action live from any angle in the ballpark.
I worked on the project for 3 months during my time at Improbable, pushing the first prototype out the door and playing the key role of showcaller during the live Celebrity Softball game.
"This is better than watching on TV, felt so much more immersive."
"My whole family joined in and we all had a blast!"
"Great job on making this so interactive, felt like being at the game!"
"This virtual ballpark is truly the future of fandom!"
"Best virtual event I’ve ever attended."

Experience design
I designed the show experience through storyboarding and script writing. Through regular rehearsals, I iterated on and refined the show. I communicated changes to the backstage team and directed talent on their performances.
Showcalling
A showcaller is the equivalent of an orchestra conductor. They make sure the event runs smoothly, everyone is working in sync, and troubleshoots any problems that might come up during the event.
Responsibilities include:
Keeping everyone on track and in the right positions during the event.
The main point of contact for everyone on the live broadcast team.
Providing important information across all channels during the show.
Making final decisions on issues that come up and potential workaround changes to the script.
I was in charge of a 23-people strong live production team, leading them through regular dress rehearsals in the build up and then conducting the team live on the day.
Showcalling demands exceptional composure. It means staying razor-focused in moments of potential chaos, making rapid decisions with a cool head, and setting the emotional tone that keeps the entire team steady.
This was my third of many times taking on the role of showcaller while at Improbable.
